I am very excited about this project but I am curious if Applescript alone will have enough power for this project.  I know that Applescript now has Applescript studio and that it is pretty powerful, but will it be enough to do things that people are requesting in the feature requests?  Can Applescript easily be tied into object c or something else?  Does anyone know what people are using for the code on the windows car installations?  Thanks

Actually, automator (TIGER) should make this stuff even easier.
Too bad that Apple didn't make Airtunes / Airport Express scriptable, impossible to select different "rooms" via Applescript.

Widgets (in Tiger) can interrogate and control iTunes. Have you looked at possibly using the Widget / Dashboard system as the basis for the UI?
